Se o armazenamento de arquivos na nuvem (cloud, em inglês) ainda não é uma realidade em sua vida, isso é só uma questão de tempo. Até 2016, 36% de todos os dados pessoais estarão em cloud, segundo estimativas do maior instituto de pesquisa em tecnologia da informação do mundo, o Gartner Research. Movimento de migração que só tende a crescer, impulsionado pela liberdade que o usuário conquista ao acessar seus arquivos em qualquer lugar, a partir de qualquer dispositivo com conexão à internet, seja ele smartphone, tablet ou o tradicional PC. Mobilidade sem a qual não se vive mais.

Fica para trás o universo on-premise, velho conhecido que exige a instalação de softwares – exemplo do Pacote Office, da Microsoft – e ainda requer preocupação constante com o sistema operacional e a capacidade de processamento e armazenamento do hardware. “Com a chegada da computação em nuvem, os usuários domésticos e mesmo as empresas podem se livrar do ônus de gestão da infraestrutura. Não haverá mais problemas de hardware, servidor ou necessidade de incrementar o software”, explica Luis Martinez Altamirano, analista de mercado responsável por servidores e armazenamento da consultoria IDC Brasil.

Isso só ocorre porque gigantes do setor como Amazon, Apple, Google, Facebook e Microsoft se encarregaram de tudo. Com a oferta extensiva de ferramentas que permitem armazenamento digital em servidores remotos, o usuário ganhou escala e agilidade e, associado a isso, ainda consegue economizar. “A palavra-chave da computação em nuvem é a elasticidade para mais ou para menos. É possível aumentar e reduzir os recursos rapidamente, de acordo com a demanda”, observa Luiz Martinez.

Premissa que vale não apenas para o usuário final, como também para as empresas que estão se dando conta das vantagens dessa verdadeira ferramenta de gestão. O publicitário Guilherme Araújo, de 33 anos, prova que a nuvem traz benefícios para todos. “Um exemplo é que hoje meus filmes estão no Netflix e as fotos, no Dropbox. Não preciso mais confiar na mídia de armazenamento físico”, reconhece. Na startup Zubb, a lógica é a mesma. “Não precisamos contratar softwares muito caros para colocar a empresa para rodar. Hoje, uso o Pipedrive para a área comercial, o Dropbox para armazenamento de arquivos, o Evernote para notas, o Slack para comunicação entre o time, Google Apps para e-mail e documentos, RedMine para gerenciamento de projetos, CRM para clientes, e estamos começando os testes com o Conta Azul para a área financeira e administrativa”, detalha Guilherme, sócio-fundador da agência digital. Tudo usado de acordo com a demanda. “O espaço pelo qual pagamos é dimensionado pelo uso. Se preciso de muito, pago por muito, mas se preciso de pouco, pago por pouco. Essa escala da nuvem facilita, inclusive, o nascimento de empresas”, reconhece o empreendedor.

Cautela na migração

Mas essa migração deve ser bem pensada. “Não é ir para a nuvem apenas porque está na moda. Os riscos devem ser planejados e mitigados, principalmente porque o mercado oferece diversos tipos de aplicações que talvez não estejam alinhadas com o interesse da empresa”, pondera Victor Arnaud, diretor da Alog, empresa provedora de serviços de data center.

Os recentes ataques ao iCloud e vazamento de fotos de celebridades reforçaram o sentimento de insegurança que já ronda a computação em nuvem e afasta os usuários mais desconfiados. “A vulnerabilidade sempre existe, não importa se a informação está na nuvem ou on-premise. Mas é fato que essas grandes empresas que oferecem o serviço têm que seguir uma série de regulamentações, normas de conformidade e passam por auditorias regulares”, afirma Vitor Nakano, gerente de pré-vendas da Cyberoam, fabricante de soluções de segurança. “Com isso, muitas vezes a segurança é maior na nuvem do que no computador pessoal”, acrescenta o especialista.

Victor Arnaud reconhece que a proteção é um desafio em camadas. “O elo da corrente é tão fraco quanto seu elo mais fraco”, afirma, ao fazer o alerta de que não adianta um sistema confiável se o comportamento do usuário não é condizente. Isso permite acesso fácil e rápido de qualquer dispositivo conectado à internet.
